FLOID has no account system, no server, and no database. There is nowhere for your projects to be sent, and nothing about you is collected. This page says exactly what that means on each of the two places FLOID runs.
The Mac app
The FLOID app from the Mac App Store collects no data whatsoever. It makes no network requests — not for analytics, not for crash reports, not for updates, not for fonts. Everything it draws is inside the app.
- Your projects are stored in the app's own sandbox container on your Mac.
- Files are read and written only where you point an open or save panel.
- Nothing is written anywhere automatically. Every file the app saves goes where you pointed a save panel, and nowhere else.
- Deleting the app deletes its container, and your projects with it. Export a backup first.
The web app
At floid.design, projects live in your browser's own IndexedDB storage on your device. They are never uploaded. Clearing this site's data deletes them.
The site records anonymous page views through Vercel Analytics, which sets no cookies and builds no cross-site profile. It counts visits to pages; it never sees a project name, a date, or anything you type. The site is hosted by Vercel, whose servers keep ordinary request logs, including IP addresses, for a short period as part of operating the service.
Typefaces are served from floid.design itself. No third-party font, script, or ad network is loaded.
Files you export
.floid, .floid-project, .png and
.pptx files are produced on your device and saved where you choose.
Nothing is uploaded. Files you import are read the same way — locally.
What is never collected
No name, no email address, no account, no contacts, no location, no device identifier, no advertising identifier, no usage profile, no project content. Nothing is sold or shared with anyone, because nothing is gathered in the first place.
Children
FLOID is a professional scheduling tool rather than a children's product, and it collects no personal information from anyone, of any age.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
